Historic winery, located in the small Chiles Valley, east of Napa Valley. on the way to Lake Berryessa. The winery was originally founded in 1890 by Anton and Catrina Nichelini, and is now owned and operated by the third generation of the Nichelini family. The winery makes Sauvignon Vert, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petite Sirah and Zinfandel, mostly from grapes grown in the estate’s 200-acre vineyard located just east of Rutherford in the Napa Valley. Picnic area at winery, and display of rare, old Roman grape press. Open for tasting and sales on weekends and holidays 10am-6pm: weekdays by appointment. Self-guided tours. Bocci ball court on premises.
